Hey! Just FYI, when I go to the site you gave, it works--it only requires you to have your own newsletter if you go to the Buttondown landing page. I’m having a weird separate issue where the email to confirm your email address doesn’t actually have a link to click, but I let them know.
How do I login to Buttondown? What’s my user name, which I need to log in, much less my password? How do I establish a new account that will recognize my former Substack subscription? What makes you think you have the right to port my payment info to another website without asking? Why don’t you offer to refund the remaining balance of existing Substack subscriptions for those who don’t want to move to Buttondown? What if I don’t want to screw around with Buttondown, which happens to be the case?
Hi, my subscription got cancelled and it looks as if I’m going to be double-charged. I don’t want to start a newsletter, I just want to keep reading yours. Buttondowm doesn’t give me a way to reach you, alas!
Also, I want to thank you for this newsletter, and say that I hate that Substack is making it necessary for you to deal with all of this.
