Hey! Just FYI, when I go to the site you gave, it works--it only requires you to have your own newsletter if you go to the Buttondown landing page. I’m having a weird separate issue where the email to confirm your email address doesn’t actually have a link to click, but I let them know.
Hi, my subscription got cancelled and it looks as if I’m going to be double-charged. I don’t want to start a newsletter, I just want to keep reading yours. Buttondowm doesn’t give me a way to reach you, alas!

Hey Harmon! Sorry for any confusion or dismay. You don't need to log in to receive the newsletter in your inbox. Currently I haven't started charging anyone from Buttondown, so you're welcome to cancel your subscription and you won't be charged. But no payment info was "ported," everything runs through Stripe, which both services use, so it's all automatic. You can disconnect your info from Stripe to avoid further charges.
Also, I want to thank you for this newsletter, and say that I hate that Substack is making it necessary for you to deal with all of this.
